Good Afternoon,

I am currently representing Enfield Council, who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 3-6 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate which is negotiable dependent upon experience

We are looking for a Rehabilitation Officer this role will be based at: EN1 3ES

The right candidate will:

* To use advanced skills, knowledge and understanding of the area of specialism to assist in the development of service provision and promote independence, choice and control for service users

* Carry out all duties within a quality and equalities framework based on Council policy and performance targets, professional standards and best practice.

* To be responsible for undertaking specialist assessments of need for adults and children with visual impairments, including complex cases with additional disabilities in accordance with the council policies and relevant legislation (NHS and Community Care Act 1990).

* To support service users, their families and carers, with specialist advice, prescribing training, equipment and services, using their knowledge and skills to assess appropriate support that meets the service users rehabilitation needs – including mobility training, daily living skills, promoting and enabling independence and assessing risk.

* Promote and support Personalisation through the Direct Payments process.(RAS, Quickheart, Indicative Budget)

* To be responsible for developing outcome focused support plans with the service user that identify and manage risk and ensures the agreed rehabilitation goals enable or retain the service users independence.
