Job Title: Production Operative – Foam Manufacturing
Location: Bedford
Department: Production
Our client is a leading manufacturer of high-quality foam products. We are committed to maintaining excellent production standards, workplace safety, and environmental responsibility.
We are currently seeking reliable and hardworking Production Operatives to join our growing team.
Shift Pattern : Monday to Friday
Hours : Monday - Thursday 07:00 - 16:00 and Friday 07:00 - 13:00
Pay Rate : £12.75 - £13.05
Role Summary The Production Operative will be involved in the manufacturing of foam products, operating machinery and tools as trained and instructed. The role requires maintaining high quality standards while ensuring waste and rework are kept to a minimum.
This position involves working in close proximity to moving mechanical parts. Chemicals such as isocyanates are used in the production process. Full training and appropriate safety equipment will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
Assisting the moulding process
Removing moulded seats
Cleaning moulds ready for next process
Minor repairs to moulded seats
QC check on the moulded seats
Full training is givenGeneral Responsibilities
Maintain your working area to a clean and satisfactory standard.
Work effectively as part of a team.
Undertake additional duties and responsibilities as required.
Report any shortcomings or failings in systems or procedures in line with relevant legislation.
Experience, Skills & Qualifications Required
Good level of physical fitness (ability to perform repetitive heavy lifting).
Basic communicative English (understanding verbal and written instructions).
Understanding that different customers and parts may require different specifications.
Ability to follow instructions and work to quality standards.
A proactive and team-focused attitude.
