An established and reputable business based in Chadderton is seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join their finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. With a strong presence within their sector, the business prides itself on its collaborative culture and supportive team environment.
Your new role
As a Credit Controller, you will play a key role in supporting the company's cash flow and maintaining strong customer relationships. Working as part of a close-knit finance team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of accounts, ensuring overdue payments are collected in a timely manner whilst providing excellent customer service.
Key responsibilities include:
Chasing outstanding debt via telephone and email
Building and maintaining positive relationships with customers
Resolving account queries and investigating payment issues
Allocating incoming payments accurately
Producing aged debt reports and monitoring debtor balances
Working closely with colleagues across finance and other departments to achieve team objectives
Supporting the wider finance function as requiredWhat you'll need to succeed
Previous experience working in a Credit Controller position
Proven ability to manage and reduce aged debt
Strong communication and negotiation skills
A proactive and organised approach to work
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
The ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to a collaborative working environment
Good IT skills, including experience using finance systems and Microsoft Office
Immediately available and can get to the office in ChaddertonWhat you'll get in return
Salary of £28,000+ depending on experience
