Location: “South UK” = South East / South West England & South Wales
Working pattern: Hybrid home/field-based, with occasional overnight stays
Salary: £52,000 + Bonus (Up to £33,000, OTE £15,000)

A leading engineering business is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to join its UK team and support customers across South East and South West England and South Wales. The role combines technical consultation, relationship building, and solution-led sales within a specialist condition monitoring environment.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with customers, building trust, and recommending the right technical solution from a specialist product portfolio. The successful candidate will spend time visiting customer and office sites, acting as a trusted advisor, and supporting commercial growth through strong technical understanding and service-led selling.
Key responsibilities
* Build strong customer relationships and act as a trusted point of contact.
* Identify customer needs and sell the most suitable solution from the product range.
* Visit customer and office sites across the region, with some overnight travel.
* Work independently while maintaining a professional and consistent approach.
Person profile
We are looking for a confident, practical, and self-motivated individual with excellent communication and customer service skills. You will be logical, accountable, and comfortable working on your own initiative, while also contributing positively as part of a team.
Required experience
* Technical sales experience.
* A recognised mechanical/Electrical qualification.
* Understanding of electromechanical machinery.
* Full, clean UK driving licence.
* Strong IT skills, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* Experience using CRM systems.
Desirable
* Condition monitoring experience.
* Mobius/BINDT ISO18436 Cat I qualification.
