Managing Director - Manufacturing & Engineering Business

This is a broad leadership role with full responsibility for the overall performance of the business, encompassing sales, commercial strategy, finance, operations, supply chain, manufacturing and customer service.

Reporting to the Board, you will be responsible for delivering sustainable growth, driving operational excellence and developing a high-performance culture across the organisation.

Key responsibilities include:

* Leading the overall strategic direction and performance of the business.

* Driving profitable revenue growth through commercial and sales leadership.

* Developing and executing long-term business plans and growth strategies.

* Providing leadership across manufacturing, operations, supply chain and customer service functions.

* Ensuring robust financial management, budgeting and performance control.

* Identifying opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency and profitability.

* Building strong relationships with customers, suppliers and key stakeholders.

* Leading, developing and inspiring a multi-disciplinary leadership team.

* Promoting a culture of continuous improvement, accountability and operational excellence.

* Supporting investment, innovation and future growth initiatives.

We are seeking an ambitious and commercially astute senior leader with a proven track record of delivering growth and operational improvement within a manufacturing, engineering or industrial environment.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

* Previous Managing Director, General Manager, Divisional Director or Business Unit leadership experience.

* Full P&L accountability within a manufacturing or engineering business.

* Strong commercial and sales leadership capability.

* Experience leading manufacturing, operations and supply chain functions.

* Excellent financial acumen and strategic planning skills.

* A track record of driving growth, improving performance and delivering sustainable profitability.

* Outstanding leadership, communication and stakeholder management abilities.

* A hands-on, pragmatic approach combined with strategic vision.

Experience within specialist manufacturing, engineered products, industrial equipment, automotive, capital equipment or related sectors would be highly advantageous.
