The Supply Register is recruiting on behalf of Newcastle College for a Clinical Nursing HE Lecturer to join the Higher Education team on an ongoing temporary basis.
This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Nursing professional with a passion for education to support the delivery of Higher Education Nursing programmes. Whether you are an experienced HE Lecturer or an industry professional looking to move into teaching, we would love to hear from you.
As a Clinical Nursing HE Lecturer, you will deliver engaging and evidence-based teaching that equips learners with the clinical knowledge, professional behaviours, and practical understanding required for careers within healthcare.
The Role
As a Clinical Nursing HE Lecturer, you will:
Deliver high-quality teaching across Higher Education Nursing programmes
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and inclusive learning sessions
Support students to develop clinical knowledge and professional practice
Assess learner progress and provide timely, constructive feedback
Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement
Create a positive, supportive, and professional learning environment
Support students to achieve their academic and career goals
What We're Looking For
Essential:
Registered Nurse with current professional registration (NMC)
Relevant degree in Nursing or a related healthcare discipline
Recent clinical nursing experience
Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
Commitment to delivering outstanding teaching and learner support
Desirable:
Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DET, DTLLS or equivalent)
Previous experience teaching within Higher Education or Further Education
Experience delivering undergraduate or Higher Education Nursing programmes
Assessor and/or Internal Quality Assurance qualifications
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain)
