CNC Machine Operative
Location: Leeds
Pay Rate: £18.50 - £19.50 per hour
Shifts: Rotating 6:00am - 2:00pm / 2:00pm - 10:00pm
Contract: 13-week Temporary to Permanent
Our client, a leading global manufacturer supplying the automotive and engineering sectors, is seeking experienced CNC Machine Operatives to join their production team in Leeds.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established manufacturing business offering competitive rates of pay, ongoing training, and the opportunity to secure a permanent position after 13 weeks.
The Role
As a CNC Machine Operative, you will be responsible for setting up, operating and monitoring CNC machinery to produce high-quality products while maintaining production, quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC machinery safely and efficiently.
Monitor machine performance and make adjustments where required.
Carry out quality inspections using measuring equipment.
Read and interpret engineering drawings and production specifications.
Complete production and quality documentation accurately.
Perform routine machine checks and basic preventative maintenance.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Work as part of a team to achieve production targets.
What We're Looking For
Previous experience operating CNC machinery within a manufacturing environment.
Ability to read engineering drawings.
Experience using measuring equipment such as verniers, micrometers and gauges.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Good communication skills and a proactive approach to work.
Flexibility to work rotating 6:00am-2:00pm and 2:00pm-10:00pm shifts.
