Site HSE Advisor

Location: Point of Ayr, North Wales
Contract: Full-time Contractor (Outside IR35), Competitive Day Rate
Start Date: ASAP

Recruitment ARM is recruiting for an experienced Site HSE Advisor to join a major energy infrastructure project supporting decommissioning and carbon capture activities.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of health, safety and environmental performance throughout the engineering, procurement, installation and construction (EPIC) phases of a high-profile project.

Key Responsibilities

Promote a positive health, safety and environmental culture across the site through workforce engagement and training.
Conduct regular HSE inspections, audits and site monitoring activities.
Monitor subcontractor compliance with project HSE requirements.
Ensure equipment and site activities comply with relevant legislation and project standards.
Prepare, review and support risk assessments, Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and safe systems of work.
Oversee Permit to Work (PTW) processes and hazardous material controls.
Monitor and report HSE performance, including KPIs and leading indicators.
Support incident investigations, root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and promote environmental compliance throughout the project.

About You

You will be an experienced HSE professional with a strong background in the Oil & Gas or major construction sector.

Essential requirements:

NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent HSE qualification.
Qualification in Health & Safety, Engineering or a related discipline.
Several years' experience within the Oil & Gas industry.
Experience supporting onshore construction projects.
Knowledge of Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM).
Experience with site surveys, investigations and construction safety management.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to work independently while supporting project teams to achieve high HSE standards.
