Are you a passionate and dedicated Teacher looking for your next opportunity within a specialist SEND setting?

Aspire People are recruiting SEND Teachers to work across a number of specialist schools in North East Birmingham. We have opportunities available on a day-to-day supply, long-term and permanent basis, supporting children and young people aged 2-21 with a wide range of additional needs including Autism (ASC), SEMH, MLD, SLD, PMLD, physical disabilities and complex learning needs.

Whether you have experience in a specialist SEND school or within an SEN provision in a mainstream setting, we'd love to hear from you.

About the Role:
Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils with SEND.
Create a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment where every pupil can thrive.
Work closely with Teaching Assistants, therapists and the wider multidisciplinary team to support pupil progress.
Manage behaviour positively using a consistent and nurturing approach.
Support pupils with communication, independence and life skills.
Provide personal care where required, ensuring pupils' dignity, wellbeing and safety are maintained.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Experience teaching children or young people with SEND, either in a specialist setting or mainstream SEN provision.
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
A patient, adaptable and compassionate approach.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
A genuine passion for improving outcomes for children and young people with additional needs.
Desirable:
Experience teaching pupils with ASC, SEMH, MLD, SLD, PMLD or complex needs.
Knowledge of PECS, Makaton, sensory learning or alternative communication methods.
Experience working alongside therapists and other professionals within a multidisciplinary team.
Manual Handling or Team Teach/MAPA/CPI training is advantageous but not essential.
