Roadside Vehicle Technician

We are currently recruiting for the position of Roadside Vehicle Technician on behalf of our client, a reputable UK-wide recovery business. This role is based in Maidstone, Kent, offering an excellent opportunity for experienced motor trade professionals seeking varied and mobile working environments. The ideal individual will be responsible for delivering roadside repairs and diagnostics promptly, ensuring drivers are back on the road efficiently.

Competitive basic salary of £50,669, with an OTE of up to £57,000 per annum
Working hours of 40 hours per week with flexible shifts between 06:00 and 02:00, on a rota basis

Conduct roadside repairs, diagnostics, and fault-finding on a wide variety of vehicles
Respond promptly to breakdown calls across Maidstone and surrounding areas
Use advanced diagnostic tools and electrical knowledge to resolve a diverse range of technical issues
Maintain accurate records of all repairs and diagnostics performed as a Roadside Vehicle Technician
Ensure customer satisfaction through professional presentation and communication
Work effectively as part of a technical team, supporting colleagues and sharing expertise as a Roadside Vehicle Technician
Comply with health and safety standards and company policiesRequirements of a Roadside Vehicle Technician:

Full UK Driving Licence
A minimum of Level 2 (or higher) light vehicle maintenance and repair qualification (or equivalent)
At least 2 years' post-qualification experience in vehicle diagnostics, electrical systems, and roadside repairs
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Customer-focused approach with excellent communication skills
Flexibility to work weekends and adhere to a rota schedule
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
