About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our growing team based in Harold Wood. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of rail and commercial projects, delivering innovative and high-quality electrical design solutions from concept through to completion.
The successful candidate will be office-based for a minimum of four days per week, with the flexibility to work one day per week from home.
Key Responsibilities
* Produce electrical designs and technical drawings for rail and commercial projects.
* Prepare design calculations, specifications, reports, and supporting documentation.
* Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and client requirements.
* Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to deliver projects on time and within budget.
* Attend design meetings and provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle.
* Review and coordinate designs with multidisciplinary teams.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
* Proven experience as an Electrical Design Engineer.
* Experience working on rail and/or commercial building projects.
* Strong knowledge of UK electrical standards and regulations.
* Proficiency in electrical design software such as AutoCAD, Amtech/Trimble ProDesign, Dialux, or similar.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
* The ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively within a team.
