The Opportunity
We're recruiting on behalf of a leading Facilities Management provider for an experienced Legionella Risk Assessor to join their growing compliance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in water hygiene and Legionella risk assessments who is looking to join a well-established business with a diverse portfolio of commercial, industrial and public sector clients.
You'll be responsible for carrying out Legionella Risk Assessments across a variety of customer sites, providing expert advice and ensuring clients remain compliant with current legislation and industry standards.
The Role
As a Legionella Risk Assessor, you'll work independently across multiple client sites carrying out detailed assessments, producing professional reports and advising clients on remedial actions to effectively manage Legionella risks.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out Legionella Risk Assessments on domestic, commercial and industrial water systems.
* Inspect water storage tanks, calorifiers, pipework, outlets, spa pools and associated assets.
* Identify potential Legionella risks and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
* Produce accurate, detailed and compliant risk assessment reports.
* Create and update water system schematics where required.
* Maintain accurate electronic records using company reporting systems.
* Provide clients with technical advice on Legionella control measures and water hygiene compliance.
* Attend client meetings to discuss findings and recommendations.
* Liaise professionally with Facilities Managers, engineers, contractors and key stakeholders.
What We're Looking For
Essential
* Legionella Risk Assessment qualification (City & Guilds, BOHS, WMSoc or equivalent).
* Minimum of 2 years' experience carrying out Legionella Risk Assessments.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
* Excellent working knowledge of:
* ACOP L8
* HSG274
* BS 8580-1
* Water Supply Regulations
* Excellent report writing and communication skills.
* Ability to interpret water system schematics.
* Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
Desirable
* Experience carrying out water sampling and temperature monitoring.
* Knowledge of HTM 04-01.
* Experience working within Facilities Management or Water Hygiene services.
