Residential Surveyor
Location: North East England
Salary: Negotiable depending on experience
About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Residential Surveyor to join a growing and ambitious independent surveying practice in the North East. This role offers the chance to work within a supportive, quality-focused environment where surveyors are given the time and resources needed to deliver exceptional service and high-standard reporting.
The successful candidate will undertake a range of residential surveying services, including RICS Level 2 Home Surveys, RICS Level 3 Building Surveys, residential valuations, New Build Snagging Surveys (where qualified), and specialist property inspections.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out residential property inspections across the North East, primarily covering Northumberland, Newcastle upon Tyne, Gateshead and Sunderland.
* Produce accurate and comprehensive RICS Level 2 Home Survey and RICS Level 3 Building Survey reports.
* Undertake residential valuations where appropriate.
* Conduct pre- and post-survey client calls to discuss findings and recommendations.
* Utilise modern surveying technology, including specialist software, tablets and drone technology.
* Deliver outstanding customer service and professional technical advice.
* Work closely with an experienced administration team who manage diary scheduling and appointments.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* AssocRICS, MRICS or be working towards Chartered status.
* Previous experience within residential surveying.
* Excellent report-writing and communication skills.
* A full UK driving licence.
* Strong organisational skills and keen attention to detail.
* A customer-focused approach with high professional standards.
