Are you a strategic finance leader looking for your next challenge?

Our client, a well-established and growing organisation based in Norwich, is seeking an experienced Financial Director to join their senior leadership team. This is a pivotal role for a commercially minded finance professional who can provide strategic direction, drive financial performance, and support the continued growth of the business.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director and working closely with key stakeholders across the organisation, you will play an instrumental role in shaping business strategy whilst ensuring robust financial management and governance.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and develop the finance function, ensuring efficient and accurate financial operations.
Provide strategic financial advice to the Board and senior management team.
Prepare and present monthly management accounts, budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
Drive financial planning and analysis to support business growth and profitability.
Manage cash flow, treasury, and working capital requirements.
Ensure compliance with all statutory, regulatory, and tax obligations.
Oversee year-end accounts and liaise with external auditors, accountants, and banking partners.
Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and operational efficiencies.
Support investment decisions, business planning, and commercial negotiations.
Lead, mentor, and develop members of the finance team.
About You

The successful candidate will possess:

ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent professional qualification.
Significant experience operating in a senior finance leadership role.
Strong commercial awareness with the ability to influence strategic decision-making.
Excellent financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting expertise.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience managing and developing finance teams.
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively at Board level.
A proactive and hands-on approach combined with excellent attention to detail.
