Join a small friendly team developing user interface in C# for scientific instruments

Based in Cambridge, this company develops scientific instrumentation based on imaging technologies. Their hardware and software products are used by researchers in the pharmaceutical and life science fields to accelerate and simplify scientific analysis of samples.

Joining their small, collaborative development team, you would focus on user interface components for instrument control and presentation of imagery and other data.

Essential requirements:

* A good degree in computer science or similar subject from a well-respected university

* Demonstrably strong software development skills in C# .NET 4.0 including familiarity with WPF, XAML, and Microsoft Visual Studio

* Experience interfacing with camera systems and extracting and processing image data

* Experience of interfacing with COM-based components

* You will need good communication and team working skills along with good organisation and a focus on timely delivery of software

* Full existing right to work in the UK without restriction, time limit, or the need for sponsorship

Skills in Visual C++ and ATL COM objects, Microsoft SQL Server, Transact-SQL, or NUnit would be advantageous but not essential.

A competitive salary and benefits package are on offer to the successful candidate. The company's offices are conveniently located in Cambridge close to public transport options. There is scope for hybrid working 1 day per week.
