Job Role of the EC&I Technician
An exciting opportunity has become available for an EC&I Technician to join a well-established process manufacturing business. Working as part of a close-knit engineering team, you will play a key role in maintaining, fault finding and improving the site's electrical, control and instrumentation systems, helping to maximise plant reliability and performance.
This is a hands-on position with a structured competency framework, providing a clear pathway to progress as you develop your technical knowledge of the site's electrical, control and instrumentation systems. Alongside planned and reactive maintenance, you will support continuous improvement activities and gain exposure to a wide variety of electrical and instrumentation equipment within a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
Sector - Process Manufacturing
Non-Negotiable Requirements of the EC&I Technician
Level 3 Electrical Engineering qualification (or equivalent).
Previous experience within a process manufacturing environment.
Demonstrable Electrical, Control & Instrumentation (EC&I) maintenance experience.
Electrical maintenance experience within an industrial environment.
Requirements for the EC&I Technician
Electrical fault finding.
Instrumentation maintenance and fault diagnosis.
Control systems experience.
Preventative and reactive maintenance.
Reading electrical drawings and schematics.
Electrical installation and maintenance.
Permit to Work systems.
CMMS / Engineering Management Systems.
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
Computer literacy.
Good communication and organisational skills.
Desirable Requirements for the EC&I Technician
18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
HNC/HND in an Electrical Engineering discipline.
COMAH or hazardous manufacturing experience.
Chemical, Petrochemical, Pharmaceutical or other process manufacturing experience.
ATEX / Hazardous Area experience.
CompEx qualification.
