TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND school in North Birmingham that supports children and young people aged 7 to 16 with Autism / ASD and complex behavioural needs. The school promotes a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where lessons are tailored to meet the individual needs of every student, helping them to thrive both academically and personally.
The school is looking to appoint a full-time SEND Teacher on a long-term basis from September. The successful SEND Teacher will be responsible for planning, delivering and marking engaging lessons across the core curriculum, using creative teaching approaches to motivate and inspire students while supporting their individual learning, communication and behavioural needs.
The successful SEND Teacher will have:
QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
Experience working with children or young people with Autism / ASD and complex behavioural needs
Confidence teaching across the core subjects
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
A creative approach to lesson planning that makes learning engaging and accessible
A patient, resilient and adaptable approach to supporting individual learning needs
