SHE Advisor / HSE Advisor

Location: Reading (3 Months) → Hinkley Point C (HPC)
Rate: £600 per day
Contract: Inside IR35
We are recruiting for an experienced SHE / HSE Advisor to support a major project, initially based in Reading before mobilising to Hinkley Point C.
Working alongside the Project Manager and Divisional SHE Manager, you will help drive a proactive safety culture, ensuring compliance with SHE legislation, company procedures and industry best practice.

Key Responsibilities

Promote a strong safety culture across the project.
Conduct site inspections, audits and compliance reviews.
Support incident investigations and corrective action management.
Produce SHE performance reports and management presentations.
Deliver SHE communications, campaigns and training initiatives.
Support external audits and accreditation requirements.
Work closely with project teams and supply chain partners to improve SHE performance.

Requirements

Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation.
Experience within construction, engineering, infrastructure or major project environments.
Proven ability to influence and promote positive safety behaviours.
Excellent communication, reporting and stakeholder management skills.
Understanding of ISO 45001 / OHSAS 18001 management systems.
NEBOSH General Certificate or NEBOSH Construction Certificate (essential)
