Qualified Electrician – Career Progression Opportunity
We're looking for an experienced Electrician who wants more than just another job.
This is an opportunity to join a growing business with genuine career progression. Initially, you'll be working 5 days on the tools, but as the company continues to expand, there will be the opportunity to move into a 4-day on-site / 1-day office-based role, supporting the day-to-day operations and helping drive the business forward.
Who Would Suit This Role
This opportunity is ideal for someone who falls into one of the following categories:
Option 1
An experienced Electrician looking to take the next step in their career. You enjoy being on the tools but would also like the opportunity to develop your leadership, operational and management skills as the business grows.
Option 2
Someone currently working as a Sole Trader or running a small electrical business who enjoys the electrical work but is tired of dealing with:
Quoting
Paperwork
Accounts
Chasing payments
Administration
Running every aspect of the business
Join our team, focus on what you enjoy, and let us take care of the rest.
If you bring existing clients or secure new work, we offer a profit-sharing arrangement on that work.
Our Values
Wealth
We believe everyone who contributes to building the business should share in its success. We reward commitment, loyalty and performance.
Family
Family always comes first. If there's an emergency involving your immediate family, we expect you to leave work and be with them. We'll take care of everything else. We also understand the importance of balancing work around children and caring responsibilities wherever possible.
Quality
We take pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and exceptional customer service.
Integrity
We're honest, transparent and always do the right thing.
Respect
We treat customers and colleagues with courtesy and professionalism. Clean uniforms, tidy vans and good manners matter.
Looking After Our Team
Our staff are our biggest asset. We genuinely care about the wellbeing of everyone who works with us. Recently, one of our Engineers experienced a serious health issue. We raised money to support him and his family and paid above and beyond his contractual entitlement because looking after our people is simply the right thing to do.
In return, we ask our team to:
Take pride in their work
Be accountable
Go the extra mile
Support one another
Want to continually improve
We also enjoy getting together outside work with regular social events and a fully paid Christmas day out each year.
What's Included:
Company van
Fuel card
Tablet
Uniform
Ongoing training and development
Genuine career progression
Profit share opportunities for self-generated work
Location
Applicants must:
Live within approximately 30 minutes of Southampton
Hold a full UK driving licence (minimum 3 years)
Our work is primarily across:
Southampton
New Forest
Portsmouth
Winchester
Alton
Surrounding areas
Essential Requirements:
Around 8 – 10 years' total experience including apprenticeship
BS7671 qualification
