Are you a passionate and experienced Registered Nurse with a special interest in dementia care? We are seeking a dedicated Dementia Lead Nurse to join our compassionate team at Ghyll Royd Care Home, where person-centred care and dignity are at the heart of everything we do.

About the Role

As Dementia Lead Nurse, you will take clinical leadership for all aspects of dementia care within the home. You will champion best practice, support and mentor staff, and ensure residents living with dementia receive outstanding, evidence-based, and compassionate care.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead and develop dementia care practice across the home

* Promote person-centred approaches aligned with best practice guidance

* Provide clinical supervision and mentoring to nursing and care staff

* Develop and review care plans tailored to individual needs

* Deliver training and education on dementia care

* Support families and act as a key point of contact

* Monitor quality standards and drive continuous improvement

* Work collaboratively with external healthcare professionals

About You

* Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN) with active NMC registration

* Proven experience working with people living with dementia

* Strong leadership and communication skills

* Knowledge of current dementia care best practice and regulatory standards

* Passionate about delivering high-quality, compassionate care

Desirable:

* Dementia qualification or relevant postgraduate study

* Experience in care home leadership
