Geoenvironmental Engineer

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Geoenvironmental Engineer to join a well-established ground investigation and site services contractor based in Milton Keynes. Working on a diverse range of residential, commercial, industrial and infrastructure projects, you will play a key role in delivering contaminated land assessments and ground investigation works from site through to reporting.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience within a busy ground investigation environment while developing their technical knowledge and progressing their career.
The Role:
Design, supervise and manage ground investigation projects.
Carry out Phase 1 Preliminary Risk Assessments and Phase 2 Site Investigations.
Log soil and rock samples in accordance with BS 5930.
Undertake soil, groundwater and ground gas sampling.
Interpret laboratory data and prepare factual and interpretative reports.
Complete contaminated land risk assessments and recommend appropriate remediation solutions.
Liaise with clients, subcontractors and regulatory bodies throughout project delivery.
Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
Support junior engineers and contribute to the successful delivery of multiple projects.Requirements:
Degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, Environmental Science or a related subject.
Previous experience in geoenvironmental engineering, contaminated land or ground investigation.
Knowledge of UK contaminated land guidance and current legislation.
Experience supervising site investigations and producing technical reports.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Full UK driving licence.Benefits:
