The Role
As a MET Technician / Strip Fitter, you will be responsible for dismantling and reassembling accident-damaged vehicles, ensuring every repair is completed to manufacturer specifications and the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
Strip and refit damaged vehicles in line with manufacturer specifications.
Remove, repair and reinstall mechanical, electrical and trim components.
Work efficiently within a fast-paced accident repair centre.
Follow approved repair methods and manufacturer procedures.
Ensure all work is completed to the highest quality standards.
Work closely with panel technicians and paint sprayers to ensure vehicles are repaired safely and efficiently.
Skills & Qualifications
Previous experience as a MET Technician, Strip Fitter or Bodyshop Technician.
Recognised apprenticeship with an NVQ, VCQ, SVQ, ATA or equivalent qualification.
Strong understanding of modern vehicle construction and repair techniques.
Ability to work efficiently while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
Self-motivated with a positive attitude and strong team ethic.
Commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
Full UK driving licence preferred.
