We are looking for a Payment Support Officer to join our dedicated and supportive Financial Wellbeing Team. This is a rewarding opportunity to play a vital role in helping residents access emergency financial support during difficult circumstances, ensuring crisis funding reaches those who need it most.
Working as part of a passionate and innovative team, you will help tackle the ongoing challenges associated with the Cost of Living crisis by processing payments efficiently, maintaining accurate records, and contributing to services that make a real difference in people's lives.
What You'll Be Doing
Processing Crisis and Resilience Fund payments accurately and within agreed timescales.
Supporting residents to access crisis assistance quickly and without unnecessary delay.
Maintaining clear, accurate, and compliant records and reporting.
Working collaboratively with colleagues across the Financial Wellbeing Team.
Developing and maintaining effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
Using payment systems and databases to manage and monitor applications and payments.
Contributing to new initiatives and service improvements.
Responding creatively and proactively to changing demands and challenges.
Delivering outcomes in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
What We're Looking For
We are seeking a motivated and solution-focused individual who can work confidently under pressure and demonstrate excellent organisational skills.
You will have:
Experience using payment systems and databases (Agresso experience would be advantageous).
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate record-keeping.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
The ability to develop and maintain productive partnerships.
A proactive, flexible, and adaptable approach to work.
The confidence to work independently and use your initiative.
A commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
A positive, can-do attitude with a focus on finding solutions.
Working Arrangements
📍 Location: Civic Centre
🏢 Hybrid Working: 3 days per week in the office
⏰ Working Hours:
Monday to Thursday: 8:30am - 5:00pm
Friday: 8:30am - 4:30pm👔 Dress Code: Office smart casual
💷 Pay Rate: £13.69 per hour
