Office Administrator (Transport)
Near Abingdon | £32,500 per annum (DOE) | Permanent | Monday to Friday
Are you an experienced Office Administrator with a background in transport or logistics? Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same?
We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established transport business based near Abingdon for a reliable and organised Office Administrator to join their friendly, close-knit team.
Please note: Due to the rural location, you'll need your own transport to commute to site.
The Role
This is a varied position where you'll play a key role in supporting the transport operation, liaising with customers, drivers and Pallet-Track depots to ensure deliveries run smoothly and efficiently.
Your responsibilities will include:
Acting as the first point of contact for customers and drivers
Answering and managing a high volume of telephone calls
Liaising with Pallet-Track depots regarding deliveries and collections
Monitoring customer deliveries and resolving any issues
Producing and maintaining KPI reports
Ensuring customer service levels are achieved
Providing general administrative support to the transport team
What We're Looking For
Previous administration experience within a transport or logistics environment
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Confident telephone manner
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to prioritise workload in a busy office
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
A positive attitude and the ability to work well as part of a small team
Hours
Monday to Friday
09:00 – 19:00
1-hour unpaid lunch break
Salary & Benefits
£32,500 per annum
Salary may be negotiable for the right candidate
