Clarence Recruitment is working with a successful and inclusive secondary school in Leicester to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Teacher of Physical Education for a long-term position beginning in September 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate PE teacher to join a supportive department dedicated to promoting healthy lifestyles, sporting achievement, and student wellbeing. Whether you're an experienced teacher or an ambitious Early Career Teacher (ECT), you'll have the opportunity to inspire young people across Key Stages 3 and 4 through engaging and high-quality Physical Education lessons.

The Role
As a Teacher of Physical Education, you will:
Deliver engaging and challenging PE lessons across KS3 and KS4
Encourage students to develop confidence, resilience, teamwork, and leadership skills
Promote lifelong participation in physical activity and healthy lifestyles
Monitor, assess, and support student progress to maximise achievement
Contribute to an exciting and inclusive PE curriculum
Support extracurricular activities, sports clubs, fixtures, and school competitions
Play an active role within the wider school community
The Successful Candidate Will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be working towards achieving it
Have the ability to teach Physical Education across KS3 and KS4
Demonstrate excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
Possess strong communication and organisational abilities
Have high expectations of achievement, participation, and behaviour
Be enthusiastic about school sport and extracurricular activities
Be committed to safeguarding and promoting student welfare
Be a positive and collaborative member of the PE department
