This role is to join an established contractor where you will work closely with senior members of the design team as well as the sales engineers
The role involves designing new mechanical and public health systems from scratch to construction stage. Day-to-day tasks include creating and modifying designs using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software, conducting surveys and inspections of installations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and collaborating with senior engineers to optimize system performance.
Some of this employers’ successful junior engineers have come from a CAD / Revit background and working alongside our senior engineers and pre-con managers have grown into mechanical engineers.
Responsibilities
* Producing mechanical and public health drawings using AutoCAD and/or Revit for all stages of design
* Creating equipment schedules (e.g. FCUs, AHUs, HRUs, grilles, fire dampers etc)
* Assisting with HVAC and public health design work
* Carrying out thermal modelling using IES or similar software
Skills and Experience Required
* A Bachelor's degree in mechanical or building services engineering
* 2 years’ experience in mechanical and public health services design
* Excellent AutoCAD skills
* Revit and thermal modelling experience is a bonus
* Someone self-motivated, efficient, and comfortable working under pressure
