Contract: Full Time | Term Time Only (plus INSET days)

We are seeking an exceptional, compassionate and highly organised Year 11 Pastoral Manager to join our dedicated pastoral team from September 2026. This is a rewarding opportunity to support students during one of the most important years of their education, helping them achieve academic success while promoting their wellbeing, attendance and personal development.

Working closely with the Head of Year, senior leaders, teaching staff, families and external agencies, you will play a key role in ensuring every Year 11 student is supported to thrive both personally and academically.

Key Responsibilities

Provide outstanding pastoral care and day-to-day support for Year 11 students.
Monitor attendance, punctuality, behaviour and wellbeing, implementing timely interventions where needed.
Build positive relationships with students, parents and carers to encourage engagement and achievement.
Support students through the GCSE examination period, helping to reduce barriers to learning and promote resilience.
Work collaboratively with the safeguarding, SEND and inclusion teams to ensure appropriate support is in place.
Maintain accurate pastoral records and contribute to student review meetings.
Promote high standards of behaviour, attendance and conduct in line with school policies.
Act as a positive role model, fostering a culture of respect, ambition and inclusion.

Has experience working with secondary-aged young people, ideally within a school or educational setting.
Has excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
Is calm, empathetic and confident in managing a range of pastoral situations.
Can build trusting relationships with students and families.
Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Works effectively as part of a collaborative team while managing their own workload.
