We are seeking compassionate and reliable healthcare assistants. Thiese are casual, part-time role offering flexible working with potential of being long term or becoming temp to permanent. . As a Healthcare Assistant at various care homes across Swindon, you'll help to provide our residents exceptional all-round care and support. Providing cover for any planned or unplanned absences, you'll help to get to know our residents and enhance their experience.
ABOUT YOU
When you join us as Healthcare Assistant, you'll play a crucial role in the success of care homes. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others and ensuring the well-being of residents.
• Prior experience in a healthcare setting
• Ability to work effectively within a team
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Empathy and dedication to patient care and recovery
• Indate and Clean DBS
• Full mandatory care training - completed within the last year.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and eating
- Support in the implementation of care plans under the supervision of healthcare professionals
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the care team
- Maintain accurate records of care provided
- Drive to appointments or outings when required
- Utilize IT systems for documentation and reporting
Skills
- Experience or willingness to work in a care home environment
- Proficiency in English for effective communication with residents and colleagues
- Knowledge of care plans and willingness to learn and implement them
- Basic IT skills for record keeping and reporting
- Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate compassionately with residents and their families
As this is a temporary position to provide cover as and when we need it, such as for annual leave or sick leave, the hours and days you work will vary.
