We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support students in their learning and development. Working closely with teachers, you will help create a positive classroom environment, support individual and small-group learning, assist with lesson preparation, and encourage student engagement and progress. Requirements
The successful candidate will have:
A minimum of *7 GCSEs at grades A-C (4-9)**, including English and Mathematics.
A 2:1 degree or above from a recognised university.
A genuine passion for education and supporting young people.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
A proactive, adaptable, and professional approach to work.
The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential.
General Teaching Assistant Responsibilities
Support teachers in delivering high-quality lessons and learning activities.
Assist students on a one-to-one basis and in small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teaching staff.
Support students with varying learning needs and abilities.
Supervise students during break times, educational visits, or extracurricular activities where required.
Contribute to the school's ethos and commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing.
