Electrical Supervisor - Teesside

My client is a bulk liquid storage provider operating terminals strategically placed across the UK. They currently require an electrical supervisor to be based at their multiple sites across Teesside on a permanent basis.

Role:

* To ensure that Terminal electrical maintenance is managed safely and efficiently by Electrical Technicians and Contractor’s Electricians.

* Ensure safe and reliable operation of electrical systems in accordance with UK regulations and industry best practise.

* Competent, safe and accurate completion of all allocated tasks to maintain the quality performance of the company.

* Provide technical support, leadership and guidance to projects, operations and maintenance.

* Comply with the UK Policies and Procedures.

Main Duties:

* Ensure planned and unplanned maintenance routines are to be prioritised, resourced and completed on time, in line with all relevant standards.

* Ensure that all tasks, follow up works and repairs are recorded and updated on the site CMMS.

* Ensure that all maintenance personnel and contractors working on the terminals are competent and comply with site rules and regulations.

* Produce engineering and maintenance procedures for new systems.

* Preparation and review of method statements and risk assessments to ensure compliance

* Develop maintenance technical instructions and scopes of work for procurement of maintenance services/equipment supply.

* Identify bad actors/equipment with frequent failures and escalate to the Electrical Engineer and Maintenance Manager for replacement or re-design.

* Execute safety critical equipment routines ensuring correct installation, checks and precautions are taken.

* Monitor and report on consumable stock levels.

* Ensure inspections, defects and repairs are recorded on the site maintenance control forms

* Ensure prioritisation, planning and adequate resourcing of electrical maintenance activities, including but not limited to: MCC inspections, Hazardous area inspections, IR testing, CP Joints Earthing, Lightning Protection and bonding testing and inspections.

* Providing electrical engineering support and fault finding to ensure operational performance of plant is optimised, Troubleshooting, MCC faults, Earth faults & Motor faults.

* Ensure prioritisation, planning and adequate resourcing of electrical unplanned works, including but not limited to: Replacing / upgrading lighting fittings, Replacing motors and switches, Hazardous area equipment, remedial work & Minor panel modifications.

Requirements:

* 5+ Years’ experience working within a Petrochemical / chemical industry as an E&I supervisor.

* BTEC/NVQ or equivalent in Electrical Engineering discipline or time served apprenticeship.

* COMPEX 01, 02, 03, 04 certified.

* BS7671 (18th Edition)

* Safety Instrumented System awareness

* Working at Heights

* High Voltage awareness (desirable)

* IPAF 3A & 3B (desirable)

* PASMA mobile tower erection (desirable)

* Asbestos Awareness (desirable)

Salary: £55k DOE per annum
