About the Role We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a leading Tier 1 engineering and construction business delivering major capital investment projects as part of the UK's AMP8 water programme.
Working across clean water and wastewater infrastructure projects, you will lead the successful delivery of schemes from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a collaborative alliance environment on projects ranging from £5m to £100m+, helping improve critical water infrastructure while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality and commercial performance.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the safe and successful delivery of water infrastructure projects throughout the full project lifecycle.
Manage multidisciplinary teams across engineering, construction, commercial and commissioning functions.
Ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the required quality standards.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, framework partners, supply chain and key stakeholders.
Manage project programmes, risks, opportunities and change control processes.
Monitor commercial performance, forecasting and reporting against project objectives.
Drive compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) standards.
Coordinate procurement activities and subcontractor performance.
Produce accurate progress reports and present project updates to senior stakeholders.
Promote continuous improvement and identify opportunities to enhance project delivery. About You You'll be an experienced Project Manager with a proven background delivering complex infrastructure or utilities projects.
Essential Requirements
Demonstrable experience managing civil engineering and/or MEICA projects.
Experience delivering projects within the UK water sector, ideally on AMP frameworks.
Strong understanding of NEC contracts and commercial project management.
Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced project environment.
Knowledge of project planning tools such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
Full UK driving licence. Desirable
Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
APM, PRINCE2 or equivalent Project Management qualification.
SMSTS and CSCS certification.
Experience working within collaborative alliance delivery models. What's on Offer
