Lead UI Developer

Contract, Outside IR35, Manchester Hybrid, Initial 6 months (likely to extend), ASAP start

We're supporting a leading financial services client on a Front End modernisation programme, building out a component-driven, scalable UI architecture across a growing product suite. We're looking for a Lead UI Developer to take technical ownership of the Front End build and set the standard for how the wider team works.

What you'll be doing

• Leading Front End architecture and development using the latest version of Angular
• Consolidating over 10 journeys into 1 journey reusing code as much as possible
• Owning and evolving a design system, ensuring consistency, reusability and scalability across product teams
• Architecting and building micro front ends as part of a modular, distributed UI strategy
• Setting technical direction and best practice for the wider Front End team, with hands-on delivery alongside leadership
• Working closely with Back End, design and product teams to ship features end-to-end in a regulated FS environment

What we're looking for

• Strong, demonstrable experience with the latest version of Angular in a production environment
• Proven experience working with and evolving design systems
• Hands-on experience building micro Front End architectures
• Comfortable operating at Lead level, setting technical direction and mentoring other developers
• Node and Nest experience desirable, not essential
• AWS experience desirable, not essential
• FS or other regulated sector experience
