Lead Full Stack Developer (Node.js/Angular) - SC Clearance Required

Mayfleet is recruiting an expert level Full Stack Developer for a major UK government digital programme. This is a lead-level role: you'll spend most of your time setting direction across multiple engineering teams, championing best practice and shaping strategy, while staying hands-on enough to dive into the code where needed.

What we need:

• Expert full stack development with Node.js and Express
• Angular on the Front End (preferred over other frameworks)
• Jest testing
• GitLab CI/CD
• Proven experience leading engineering teams, setting standards and mentoring developers

Preferred

• Kong Enterprise (KongEE)
• Kubernetes, as the programme is containerising applications and moving to EKS later this year
• SC clearance or eligibility (not mandatory)

What you'll be doing:

• Leading and setting direction for multiple engineering teams
• Designing strategies for reusable libraries and services
• Working with senior technical decision makers on product vision
• Embedding usability, accessibility, security and stability into citizen-facing services
• Diagnosing infrastructure issues and providing 3rd line support on delivered products
