More Than Just Another Teaching Role
We're working with a well-regarded secondary school in Horsham seeking an experienced Science Teacher to join them from October on a maternity cover basis.
The majority of your timetable will be dedicated to delivering engaging Science lessons, helping students develop their understanding and enthusiasm for the subject. As with many secondary schools, there may be occasions where flexibility is required to provide cover support outside of your specialism, making adaptability and confidence in the classroom equally important.
The Role
Deliver high-quality Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
Inspire students to achieve their academic potential
Assess, monitor and support student progress
Work closely with an established and supportive department
Uphold high standards of behaviour and achievement
Provide occasional general classroom cover when required by the school
Ideal Candidate
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching Science within a UK secondary setting
Strong behaviour management and classroom presence
Ability to adapt confidently to different classroom environments
Passionate about supporting young people to succeed
SEN experience welcomed but not required
