We are seeking an experienced and motivated Carpenter to join our maintenance team, delivering high-quality repairs and maintenance services across social housing properties.
Working in occupied and void homes, you'll carry out a wide range of carpentry repairs and installations while maintaining excellent standards of workmanship and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out responsive and planned carpentry repairs within social housing properties.
Repair, replace, and install:
Internal and external doors
Door frames and architraves
Skirting boards
Kitchens and worktops
Flooring and timber structures
Locks, ironmongery, and door furniture
Windows and timber repairs
Complete first and second fix carpentry work.
Undertake minor multi-trade tasks where required, including basic plumbing, tiling, decorating, or patch plastering.
Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Maintain accurate records of completed work using handheld devices or paperwork.
Provide excellent customer service and communicate professionally with tenants and colleagues.
Keep company vehicles, tools, and equipment clean and well maintained.
Requirements
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Carpentry and Joinery (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience working as a Carpenter, ideally within social housing, property maintenance, or responsive repairs.
Strong knowledge of first and second fix carpentry.
Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Full UK Driving Licence
