We are recruiting dedicated and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistants to work across a range of welcoming and inclusive schools throughout Hertfordshire.
We are looking for caring and committed individuals who want to make a positive impact by supporting pupils with additional needs and helping them develop academically, socially, and emotionally. Whether you are an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant, a Learning Support Assistant, a graduate, youth worker, mentor, or someone looking to start a career in education, we would love to hear from you.
The Role:
* Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEND
* Supporting children with a range of additional needs, including communication difficulties, autism, learning needs, and social or emotional challenges
* Working alongside teachers and support staff to deliver personalised support
* Helping pupils access learning activities and engage with the curriculum
* Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive learning behaviours
* Supporting pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development
* Contributing to a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment
We’re Looking For:
* Experience working with children or young people with SEND or additional needs is desirable
* A caring, patient, and proactive approach
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
* Reliability, professionalism, and a willingness to support pupil progress
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
