Production Engineer - Electronics
Location - Chelmsford
Salary - Negotiable, depending on experience

The Production Engineer - Electronics will join a global leader to support their manufacturing operations. You'll be working on high-profile projects with real-world impact!
What's on offer:
Working Hours: 8:30am - 5:00pm (Monday to Thursday), 8:30am - 4:30pm (Friday)

Perform component-level fault-finding to diagnose production and performance issues.
Collaborate with manufacturing and supply teams to resolve technical issues.
Investigate, document, and report faults on products while driving improvements to eliminate reoccurring issues.
Assist with the creation of balanced production lines, with flexibility to adapt to changing requirements.
Write and update clear, concise work instructions (SOPs) for operations.
Create and update configuration control documents and manufacturing standard times.
Write, review, and complete process FMEA, control plans, and risk assessments
Analyse designs to ensure they meet DFM/DFA criteria and manage the NPI process
Drive change management processes and product improvements.
Support sales with customer and project bid data preparation.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement. Experience & Skills Required:
An Electronics or manufacturing/engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
Extensive experience in electronics test and manufacturing engineering.
Knowledge of mechanical manufacturing philosophies (DFM/DFA).
Experience in electrical and mechanical assembly, manufacturing, and test processes.
Ability to produce clear reports and deliver effective presentations.
Must be self-motivated with strong communication and influencing skills and creative problem-solving abilities.
Strong analytical skills and fault-finding expertise, particularly in electronics down to component level.
Knowledge of RF test techniques, high voltage electronics, and encapsulation would be beneficial
Experience in problem-solving methodologies (8D, A3, Root Cause Analysis).
Proficiency with ERP/SAP systems and understanding of SPC data would be preferable.
