SEN Teaching Assistant – Wendover – ASAP/September Start (Temp to Perm)
GSL Education is currently looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming SEN school in Wendover, starting as soon as possible or from September. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, offering long-term career prospects for the right candidate.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support students with Autism (ASC), SEMH, ADHD, and other additional needs on a 1:1 basis and in small groups. You will play a key role in helping pupils develop academically, socially, and emotionally within a supportive learning environment.
This SEN Teaching Assistant role is ideal for someone with previous experience in education, youth work, care, residential support, or similar settings. The successful candidate will be patient, resilient, compassionate, and confident in building positive relationships with both students and staff.
Please note: A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection is essential. All successful applicants will be required to undergo safer recruitment checks, including an enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
