Site Engineer – Civil Engineering & Infrastructure

The Company
A leading UK Infrastructure contractor is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join the delivery team on the prestigious Net Zero Teesside project around the Redcar area.
This is one of the UK's largest and most significant energy infrastructure projects, helping to create the country's first low-carbon industrial cluster through Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) technology. The scheme includes major civil engineering works, reinforced concrete structures, utilities, drainage, earthworks and pipeline infrastructure, providing an excellent opportunity to work on a nationally important development.
The Role
Working alongside the existing management team, Project Manager and Site Managers, your responsibilities will include:
* Setting out duties using GPS, Total Station and surveying equipment (all equipment supplied by the client).
* Carrying out topographical and as-built surveys.
* Preparing and managing Technical Queries (TQs).
* Completing all associated QA documentation, site records and engineering paperwork.
* Interpreting and implementing engineering drawings and project specifications.
* Producing accurate as-built drawings and engineering records.
* Liaising with site management, subcontractors and the design team.
* Providing technical support throughout the construction programme.
* Ensuring all works are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
What We're Looking For:
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience working as a Site Engineer within the Civil Engineering, Infrastructure, Utilities or Energy sectors.
Key Qualifications & Skills:
* HNC, HND or Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
* Proven experience in setting out and surveying on civil engineering projects.
* Experience writing Technical Queries (TQs).
* Strong understanding of QA procedures and site documentation.
* Excellent computer literacy with experience using Microsoft Office and engineering software.
* AutoCAD experience would be advantageous.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a busy project team.
