Job Title: SEN Teacher
Location: Brick Lane School, London E2 6DY
Salary: Up to £51,000 per annum (depending on experience, not pro rata)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week | Monday to Friday | 8.00am - 4.00pm
Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only
Start: November 2026

What You’ll Do

Plan and deliver engaging, personalised lessons that inspire learning and support pupils to reach their full potential.

Create and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs), Individual Behaviour Plans (IBPs) and personalised learning programmes.

Monitor, assess and celebrate pupil progress, adapting teaching to meet individual learning needs.

Create a nurturing, structured and inclusive classroom where pupils feel safe, valued and motivated to succeed.

Promote pupils' emotional wellbeing, resilience, independence and positive behaviour through relationship-based practice.

Work collaboratively with Learning Support Assistants, therapists, families and the wider multidisciplinary team to deliver consistent, holistic support.

Organise stimulating learning environments, resources and sensory experiences that encourage curiosity and engagement.

Contribute to the wider life of the school, supporting curriculum development and continuous school improvement.

About You

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.

Primary teaching qualification or degree is essential.

Experience in EYFS and multi-sensory approaches to teaching is highly desirable.

Experience working with children and young people with SEN, SEMH or complex needs is desirable.

A creative, adaptable and nurturing teacher who can personalise learning to meet individual needs.

A calm, patient and resilient professional who builds positive, trusting relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.

Passionate about inclusive education and committed to helping every child achieve their full potential.

Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
