Quality & Continuous Improvement Specialist
Salary: £36,000 - £42,000 + 5% Bonus
The Opportunity
I'm currently working with an established engineering manufacturer that supplies specialist products to customers across a variety of industries throughout the UK and internationally.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Quality professional to support manufacturing operations, drive continuous improvement initiatives, investigate quality issues and ensure products consistently meet customer and industry standards.
The Role
Reporting into the Quality function, you'll play an important role in maintaining quality standards across manufacturing operations, supporting production teams and ensuring products meet customer specifications.
Working closely with engineering and manufacturing departments, you'll investigate quality issues, carry out inspections and contribute to continuous improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out incoming, in-process and final inspections.
Ensure products meet customer and internal quality standards.
Complete quality documentation and inspection records.
Investigate product quality issues and non-conformances.
Support root cause investigations and corrective actions.
Assist with continuous improvement activities.
Read and interpret engineering drawings.
Work alongside manufacturing and engineering teams to improve quality performance.
Support calibration and quality system activities.
Ensure compliance with company quality procedures.About You
We're looking for someone with experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment who has worked within Quality.
Ideally you'll have experience with:
Quality inspection
Engineering drawings
Precision measuring equipment
Root cause analysis
NCRs
Quality documentation
Microsoft Office
ERP systems (desirable)
Continuous improvement
Strong communication skills
Internal auditing experience
ISO 9001 exposure
CAPA activities
Quality tools (8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa, FMEA)
Process improvement methodologies
Previous experience within manufacturing, engineering, automotive, medical devices, plastics or other technical industries would all be considered.
