Maintenance Engineer
As a Maintenance Engineer, you know that when a machine stops, production doesn't wait.
You're the person people turn to find the fault, get things moving again and keep everything running.
This Maintenance Engineer opportunity has come about because the business is growing.
Over the last 18 months, they've acquired another engineering business, bringing 20 people and 20 additional machines into the factory.
Production capacity increased...The maintenance team didn't.
Now they're putting that right by investing in two Maintenance Engineers to support the next stage of their growth.
As a Maintenance Engineer, you'll be working on predominantly mechanical machinery used to manufacture precision components.
Power presses.
Stamping presses.
Wire form machinery.
Spring manufacturing equipment. Mechanical engineering is the priority here. If you're happiest fault finding, repairing machinery and keeping production moving, you'll fit in well. Electrical fault finding is a welcome bonus, but it's your mechanical ability that will make the biggest difference.
You'll be joining a business that's investing in improving the way maintenance is managed too.
Right now, there'll be plenty of reactive maintenance because that's the reality of manufacturing.
Longer term, the focus is on introducing more planned maintenance, strengthening TPM and building a maintenance function that's proactive rather than constantly firefighting.
If you're looking to progress as a Maintenance Engineer, there's a genuine opportunity to develop into a Maintenance Manager role as the business continues to grow.
What's in it for you?
Salary £38,000-£42,000 with flexibility for the right person
4 day working week, Monday to Thursday, working 39 hours between 6:00am and 4:15pm or 7:00am and 5:15pm, with flexibility to work Friday mornings when required.
Overtime available
Time and one-third during the week
Time and a half on Saturdays
25 days holidays + 8 bank holidays If you're ready for your next move as a Maintenance Engineer and like the sound of being part of a business that's investing in both its people and its future, let's have a conversation.
