A great opportunity has arisen for a senior leader working at a large local authority in the South-West. As the Head of MASH – Children’s Social Care you would be working closely with Assistant Director to achieve the strategic aims of the service
Application deadline is Tuesday 14th July with interviews taking place within the week.
About your role as Head of MASH:
Reporting to the Assistant Director you will be leading and supporting managers and the wider team on the operational delivery of the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub service.
One of the key accountabilities in this role would be to maintain the quality of service safely and in alongside the strategic aims of Children’s Social Care
Understanding and developing partner relationships
Using a High Support/High Challenge style of leadership you will be a key member of the council’s senior leadership team
To further sustain and develop safe and robust threshold management and ensure all areas of the service are working collaboratively
You would show presence and leadership to the team and therefore working on-site is preferredYour required experience as Head of MASH:
Have experience of at least 2+ years at a Head of Service or equivalent level within a local authority setting
Demonstrable experience as a MASH subject matter expert, liaising across Children’s Services
Ideally have experience either working towards or maintaining a high performing service within a local authority
Be able to demonstrate effective communication skills, with the ability to lead teams both operationally and strategically.
