Location: Ellesmere Port, Cheshire

Salary: MPS (Main Pay Scale) / £130 - £160 per day (Supply option)

Are you an inspirational educator looking for your next challenge in a local primary school? Academics is currently seeking a dedicated Key Stage 1 teacher to join a wonderful school community based in Ellesmere Port. This is a long-term position paid to the Main Pay Scale (MPS), though we also welcome applications from educators open to a daily supply rate of £130 - £160 if you are looking for immediate work while long-term roles are finalized.

This role is ideal for a professional who loves fostering curiosity and foundational skills in young learners. As a Key Stage 1 teacher, you will be responsible for creating a vibrant classroom environment, managing phonics progression, and tracking pupil growth. Key Responsibilities for the Key Stage 1 Teacher:

Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons aligned with the National Curriculum for Year 1 or Year 2.
Drive progress in early reading, writing, and numeracy within a supportive Ellesmere Port school.
Manage classroom behavior effectively to foster a positive, safe learning atmosphere.
Collaborate with teaching assistants and parents to support children of all abilities.What We Are Looking For:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognized teaching qualification.
Proven experience working as a Key Stage 1 teacher with a deep understanding of early childhood development.
A proactive attitude toward professional development and ongoing education and training.
A current Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or a willingness to apply for a new one).
