Projects will include a wide variety of commercial and industrial roofing and building envelope packages, including flat roofing systems, pitched roofing, metal roofing, composite cladding, rainscreen cladding, overcladding, roof refurbishment and replacement schemes, rooflight installations, roof access systems and associated external envelope works across occupied buildings and live construction sites.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing multiple live roofing and cladding projects simultaneously.
* Planning programmes and coordinating project delivery from start to completion.
* Managing site managers, supervisors, subcontractors and directly employed teams.
* Monitoring project costs, budgets and commercial performance.
* Ensuring all projects comply with health and safety legislation and company procedures.
* Carrying out regular site inspections and progress meetings.
* Maintaining high standards of workmanship and quality throughout each project.
* Liaising with clients, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors.
* Managing procurement and coordinating materials to meet programme requirements.
* Identifying and resolving operational and technical issues.
* Supporting project handovers and ensuring all documentation is completed accurately.
* Reporting project progress, financial performance and key milestones to senior management.
The successful candidate will have:
* Previous experience as a Contracts Manager within roofing, cladding or the wider construction sector.
* Experience managing multiple projects at the same time.
* Good technical knowledge of commercial roofing and external envelope systems.
* Strong leadership, organisational and problem-solving skills.
* Sound commercial awareness and contract management experience.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong working relationships.
* A full UK driving licence.
