The Opportunity We’re working with a well-established manufacturing business to recruit a Control Systems Engineer to support and develop site automation.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll play a key part in keeping production running efficiently, while also leading improvement projects across control systems and automation.
What You’ll Be Doing
Supporting and maintaining PLC and automation systems across site
Fault finding and resolving electrical/control system issues
Delivering automation and upgrade projects (CAPEX)
Working closely with engineering, production, and external suppliers
Driving continuous improvement across processes and systems
Coaching and supporting teams to build automation capability
Ensuring systems meet safety and compliance standards
Managing documentation and system lifecycle improvements
Supporting site when required for critical automation issuesWhat We’re Looking For
Background in automation / control systems within manufacturing
Strong electrical and PLC fault-finding experience
Experience with Siemens PLCs (essential)
TIA Portal or other PLC platforms (Rockwell, Mitsubishi, Omron) beneficial
Experience delivering projects and continuous improvement work
Able to work both hands-on and as part of a wider team
Strong communication and problem-solving skillsWhat’s on Offer
