Learning Support Assistant – Ware:
A specialist SEND school in Ware is seeking a caring and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join its team. The school supports children with a range of learning difficulties, including pupils with moderate, severe and complex needs. The role involves creating a nurturing, inclusive and supportive environment where every pupil is encouraged to develop their skills, confidence and independence.
Requirements:
* Experience supporting children with SEND, particularly those with moderate, severe or complex learning difficulties, is essential
* A patient, compassionate and adaptable approach to supporting pupils with a range of additional needs
* Passion for helping children develop academically, socially and emotionally
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Commitment to promoting a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment
Key responsibilities:
* Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with learning difficulties, helping them to access learning activities and develop independence
* Work closely with teachers and other professionals to deliver personalised support based on individual pupil needs and support plans
* Encourage pupils’ communication, social development and confidence through positive interactions and tailored activities
* Assist with classroom routines and help create a calm, structured and supportive environment where all pupils can learn and thrive
