Our client local authority client is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a long term contract basis.
This role will involve working on several flood and coastal capital projects within the South West Flood & Coastal service, a leading shared flood and coastal service.
Key Responsibilities:
Assessing compensation events and payment applications
Providing advice for early warning solutions
Monitoring the client budget and forecasting scenarios, including stress testing
Scrutinising contractor proposals and forecasts during the design stage
Supporting the monitoring and forecasting of the capital investment programme
Job Requirements:
Experience with flood risk and highway projects
Familiarity with NEC contracts
Understanding of capital project support
Proficiency in budget monitoring and forecasting
Familiarity with PRINCE2 or APM frameworks is preferable
A driver's licence is preferable
Ability to commit to a hybrid working pattern with two days per week in the office
Contract Details:
18-month contract
30 hours per week, over four days, Monday to Friday
Hybrid working with office attendance required two days per week
