The role
As Receptionist, you'll be at the centre of the guest experience, ensuring every visit runs efficiently and leaves a positive impression. Your responsibilities will include:
Welcoming guests and managing check-ins and check-outs
Taking reservations and allocating rooms for walk-in guests
Responding to guest enquiries and resolving issues professionally
Upselling room upgrades and promoting hotel services
Liaising with housekeeping on room status and guest requirements
Managing late check-outs, early arrivals and special requests
Processing room charges, balancing payments and banking
Operating the switchboard and handling incoming calls
Reviewing function sheets and communicating with departments daily
Using Opera Cloud to support efficient front office operations
What we're looking for
You'll be a polished, organised and proactive individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced hotel environment. You will have:
Previous hotel front office or reception experience
Experience using Opera Cloud
Strong communication and customer service skills
Confidence handling guest queries, payments and administration
A professional approach with excellent attention to detail
