MIG Welder
Location: County Meath / Leinster, Ireland
Salary: €15 – €17 per hour
Type: Permanent, Full-Time | 40 Hours per Week
Syntech Recruitment are partnering with a leading Irish engineering manufacturer to recruit experienced MIG Welders for a permanent, full-time position based in the Midlands region.
This employer is an established name in heavy engineering fabrication, producing structural and mechanical components to exacting production and quality standards for customers across agriculture, construction, and industrial sectors.
MIG Welder Responsibilities
· Weld a range of materials and thicknesses from 3mm to 80mm using MIG process
· Manufacture components in line with production drawings and welding specifications
· Carry out visual inspection of welds to ensure compliance with applicable standards prior to release to next production stage
· Immediately report any deviations or defects to the Area Team Leader
· Maintain accurate shift handover communication with your Team Leader
· Meet production targets and deadlines, working effectively under pressure
· Handle steel components using hoists, pallet trucks and magnets
MIG Welder Requirements
· Proven experience as a MIG Welder in a production or fabrication environment
· Ability to read and interpret engineering and welding drawings independently
· Strong understanding of welding standards, specifications and weld quality criteria
· Competent in the use of measuring instruments and inspection tools
· Experience working with a range of material thicknesses — light to heavy gauge
· Physically capable of handling steel components and working in a heavy fabrication environment
Highly Desirable
· Experience welding structural or agricultural/construction equipment components
· Exposure to ISO 3834 or similar quality management frameworks
· Forklift or overhead crane ticket
